Fabric Covered Books

Supplies

• Old or thrifted books

• Fabric of your choice

• Mod Podge

• Foam brush or paintbrush

• Fabric scissors

Steps:

1. Cut the fabric. Lay the book open on top of your fabric and cut around it, leaving about 1–2 inches of extra fabric around each side.

   
   

2. Apply Mod Podge. Use a foam brush to apply a thin, even layer of Mod Podge to the outside of the book cover.

   
   

3. Add the fabric. Carefully lay the fabric over the front cover, spine, and back cover, smoothing it down as you go to remove wrinkles or bubbles.

   
   

4. Wrap the edges. Open the book and trim away any excess fabric as needed. Apply Mod Podge to the inside edges of the covers, then fold the fabric over and press it into place.

   
   

5. Finish the corners. Neatly fold and secure the fabric around each corner, adding a little more Mod Podge where needed.

   
   

6. Let it dry. Allow the Mod Podge to dry completely before closing, stacking, or styling your books.

Once dry, style your fabric-covered books on shelves, coffee tables, consoles, or anywhere you want to add a little extra pattern and texture!
