Spider Web Martini

These spider web martini glasses bring a spooky touch to your Halloween setup with stretchy marshmallow webs and plastic spiders. They’re easy to create and make any drink feel ready for a hauntingly fun night!

Supplies:

  • Martini glasses

  • Marshmallows

  • Microwave-safe bowl

  • Fork

  • Food-safe gloves

  • Plastic spiders

  • Dry ice, insulated gloves, and tongs (optional, for presentation only)

Steps:

  1. Place a handful of marshmallows in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 10–15-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted.

  2. Use a fork to create pull and create thin, stretchy strands then drape them around the rim of the glass.

  3. Repeat in different directions, layering the strands to create a spider web effect. Leave an opening along the rim for sipping.

  4. Add plastic spiders to the outside of the web for a creepy finishing touch. Keep them out of the drink and away from the sipping edge, and remove before drinking.

  5. Pour your favorite prepared drink into the glass carefully to preserve the design.

  6. For an optional fog effect, use dry ice in a separate presentation container beside the glasses. Handle with insulated gloves and tongs, and use in a well-ventilated area.

Dry ice safety: Dry ice is for presentation only. Never swallow it or touch it with bare skin. Avoid placing it directly in drinks. If any is inside a glass, do not drink until it has completely turned to gas or has been fully removed, including all fragments. Dry ice does not melt like regular ice.
